Yes, we changed it... again. But I can say with honesty that we touched Prezi’s top menu for just one reason, to make it better.
Last year we put Prezi through a design overhaul. This meant a new design direction, and as a result, a new brand was born.

A few weeks ago, we received the very interesting opportunity to host a very special design workshop for kids. The participants were winners and competitors from the Under 19 Freestyle Computer Competition organized by the Center for C3 Culture & Communication Foundation, and so we had to put on a show for a group of youngsters with a lot of enthusiasm for technology and design.

After months of hard work, we're very glad and excited to unveil a brand new Prezi. We hope you're gonna enjoy it as much as we do. We've done our best to give Prezi the design quality it deserves and with this post we'd like to share some of the ideas that drove us. Changing a whole brand identity and design is not an easy task; indeed it's quite a risky and challenging process but here's why we felt it was the right time for Prezi to change.
hint.fm research group is led by Fernanda Viégas and Martin Wattenberg, who are working for years now withvisual explorations of culturally significant data, or datavisualization, as it is called today.
This year I had the chance to be invited to talk at the great Campus Party 2012 in Berlin. With an empty airport (awesome place – see some pictures below) full of developers, hackers, gamers and designers I felt it was a great occasion to give some perspectives about design.

Lorenzo Cortelletti is an Italian photographer living and working in Trento, surrounded by the amazing landscapes of the Alps. I really love his work, which somehow always deal with the observation of nature, at very different scales - from the microscopic details of a stone to the mountains reflecting on a lake his look always reveal hidden or surprising beauty.

I think it's always important to replace things in context. The industrial revolution changed the way we had to think and produce objects from the mid 19th century and I believe the exponential development and diffusion of information technologies from the mid 20th century had forced design to evolve further, because the entire industrial context is in deep mutation.
